Kanazawa Loop Bus

Kanazawa Loop Bus is convenient for tourists. Each bus runs Right Loop and Left Loop, and each bus stop displays the bus number with an English notation.

*You can take Kanazawa Loop Bus and other buses (in the central part of the city) as many times as possible.
*ONE DAY PASS cannot be used on the Kanazawa light-up Bus.
*Some facilities will give a discount if you show your PASS.

Kanazawa Light-up Bus

A round tour bus visits a lit-up zones and buildings in the center of Kanazawa every Saturday evening. *No bus service is available on year-end and New Year holidays.

Taxis are always standing by at the east gate of Kanazawa Station and on other main spots. It is comparatively easy to get a taxi on the main street. The flag-down fare of a small-size car is approximately 700 yen, and it will cost around 1,000 yen to move from area to area in the city.


“Machi-nori” is the name of Kanazawa’s public bicycle rental service. You can take out or return a bicycle at any of the 50 docking stations around the city or at the Machi-nori head office.


Most of the main tourist resorts of Kanazawa are concentrated in a city area of approximately 2 kilometers square. When you go into back streets from the main street with modernistic scenes, you can see many places where division of the old castle town remains and come across with the historical atmosphere of Kanazawa.
